Personal bio: 

Ruven Pillay is an experienced researcher and developer working on technology applied to cultural heritage, in particular on advanced imaging such as multispectral and hyperspectral imaging.
He is currently research Scientist and project manager at the C2RMF, national restoration and research centre for art, housed within the Louvre Museum. Involved in numerous national and international research projects. Have worked in particular on advanced imaging and 3D acquisition applied to art; web technologies, databases, ontologies and the semantic web; and content-based image recognition systems 
Previously he has been a Research Associate in the Scientific Department of the National Gallery in London and Research scholar at the Getty Conservation Institute.
He has been active in over a dozen EU and national projects on subjects related to technology applied to cultural heritage.
He is coordinator of ICOM-CC's Documentation Working Group.
