Personal bio: 

Jari Harju is Curator at the Helsinki City Museum. He has a long working experience, having produced numerous permanent and temporary exhibitions in Finland since 1996. In the mid ‘90s he was involved in the first virtual exhibition in Helsinki. He has also cooperated with CH institutes and museums in Europe and USA organising virtual exhibitions (among others: Musée d’histoire de la Ville de Luxembourg, DASA, Germany and Minnesota Historical Society, USA, Imperial War Museum, Britain, Arbejdermuseet Denmark, Stockholms stadsmuseum, Sweden, National Historical Museum, Greece, Historial de la Grande Guerre, France, Musée d’Histoire Contemporaine, France, Liverpool Museum, Britain).

Jari Harju is President of ICMAH (International committee of archaeological and historical museums) and member of the board of ICOM Finland (being previously president and secretary).
