Hungarian Open Air Museum
Personal bio:

The Hungarian Open Air Museum is the central ethnographical open air collection of Hungary, aiming to present the late-19th-20th century rural culture in its totality: besides folk architecture, interior furnishings and way of life folk traditions too. An important aspect of its cultural presentation strategy is the fact that it applies indoor displays besides the outdoor exhibition. Moreover, the insitution puts emphasis on turning the existing exhibitions more enjoyable by using multimedia, interactives and different interpretation techniques.

The insitution includes the Museum Education and Methodology Centre, organising courses, trainings, conferences and seminars for professionals all over the country. The Department of Cultural Intangible Heritage is also part of the insitution, undertaking the task of implementing and coordinating the UNESCO Convention about intangible cultural heritage.
