Children's Museum, Cairo

The Children’s Center for Civilization and CreativityThe Children's Museum) opened in Heliopolis in 1996 as the first children’s museum in the Middle East and North Africa.  Its goal is to create an unconventional educational environment for children and happens to be the only place in the world that combines activities and museum exhibits that construct an imaginary voyage through time.  Recreated spaces, puzzles, and learning games are present in every part of the exhibition.  Highlights include the only complete Basilosaurus in Middle East, the only timeline Nile mosaic path from pre-history to modern time, the first exhibit on the history of science in Egypt and a fog screen show that is sure to impress.  Each child’s experience at The Child Museum is unique, imaginative and innovative.
